Took these two hooligins to the park this morning. I'm exhausted!!
Watch me Grandma to my left, Watch me Grandma to my right. I'm wall-eyed now. Ages 3 and 6 don't work together at a park I've decided. One is scared of stuff, other is not, both want my attention at same time. I shudda put vodka in my soda can..heh...
They are a delight. We got home and I gave the little one first choice of what animal to sleep with. She chose the one the other wanted. Then the tears began. "I don't want to take a nap" "She took the rabbit and I wanted the rabbit" ... Waaaaaahhhhhh. Finally they wahhed themselves to sleep....at last..silence..shhhh....I sure hope the phone doesn't ring cuz it'll wake one of them up...

Drama!

DRAMA!!! Sometimes it can't be helped. Fix one problem, someone else gets bent outta shape creating a NEW problem and on it goes. It's just not possible to sail through life smooth as butter on a pancake is it. Wonder if birds go through this? Ruffled feathers needing smoothing. I don't know, but I am a peace maker if at all possible, no matter whose toes I have to step on it to make peace...haha. I say.."let it goooooooo".

Sister to sister

Women. Lots of wonderful women. I just got home from a women's gathering at church and it was fun!! At first I felt unsure, shy, but God's spirit residing within us, joined us and made us sisters. The food was off the chart!! Oh sure, there wasn't any bacon, but women generally don't eat like a logger..I do. I observed so many women from different walks of life, experiences, childhoods, the pain sometimes etched in faces, others with mostly laugh lines. But, we were there, together, survivors. Some started as total strangers, but within ten minutes walking with arms around each other sharing a kinship of some sort. All ages, shapes, sizes and personalities...but a family. I thank God for women friends. They love you without any condemnation, expectation and always validate what you say without criticism. I am pretty sure it's God's love in them that makes that possible so quickly. It was great!! The video below sums it up I think! (paste it into your browser to go there)

Bob the Builder

My husband, Bob, is home today. Building us a new deck. God has blessed me with a godly man, AND a do it yourselfer who finishes projects!! I love it that he is always trying to improve our home!! If your husband is this kind of man, tell him you admire him!!! Forget it that he's not happy you bought a new dress, burned the chicken or any other mistake. Just love on him. He's a gift from God!!! Thank you Lord for my own Bob the Builder.

never trust a bath toy

Sorry Mia, Grandma knocked the bucket over getting your bath toys down from laundry room shelf and crash..they all fell out behind the dryer...I ain't goin back there for Care bears and rubber frogs..sorry. Here..have some measuring cups..don't get the floor wet. Later....observed a six year old ENJOYING plain ole measuring cups...oh to be six again!!

The past is over

Ok..the past is over. Cannot go back and right the wrongs!! Forward MARCH! Forgiveness allows that to happen..wish more people 'got it'. Have an awesome CURRENT day!!!!

"Get in there!!"

Have you ever wrestled bedding into submission in order to get it back into that tiny lil plastic bag to return? I was doin that at midnight last night!! I decided the duvet was way too heavy and hot. It took insomnia to motivate me. I don't think my husband knew I'd left the bed dragging that duvet covered comforter with me in the dark. God must laugh at His people sometimes!! I was panting and sweatin' when I finally zipped it shut. Well yeah, the bag did split and sure the label was mangled from stuffing and stuffing, but by golly the store took it back. That's my resistance excercise for the day!! Hubby will be happy there's $30.00 back in the checkbook!!

Without Him, life is meaningless!

Deciding to follow Jesus is the single most important decision of my life. More important than marrying the right man, having the perfect children or the most beautiful Grandchildren. Way better than a beautiful home, lots of money, many friends and good health. Jesus is my all in all!
