I wish you enough!

This is not original..I rec'd it via email today...thought it worthy to share!!!!

Recently I overheard a mother & daughter in their last moments together at
the airport. They had announced the departure.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged & the mother said, 'I love you,
& I wish you enough.'

The daughter replied, ' Mo m , our life together has been more than enough.
Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mo m '

They kissed & the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window
where I was seated.

Standing there I could see she wanted & needed to cry.

I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking,
'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a
forever good-bye?'.

'I am old, & she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead & the reality is
- the next trip back will be for my funeral,' she said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.'
May I ask what that means?'

She began to smile.

'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations.
My parents used to say it to everyone.'

She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail,
& she smiled even more.

'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to
have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.'

Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting
it from memory.

'I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray
the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive & everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may
appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess..

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.'

She then began to cry & walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate
them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

dreams

I love a good dream. I had lost my way in my dream this morning, but was not afraid. Why? Cuz the CSI cast was around me, helping me, laughing at my witty sayings..it was grand. Is this an unconscious desire to be famous? I've been adored by famous people many times..while I'm sound asleep..heh. I awoke feeling all happy and popular. Now, gotta make the bed and return to reality.

The Energizer Bunny ruined it

I'm still scratchin my head over an incident today. My hubby and I walked into an office supply type of store. We saw the laptop we've been searching for. Had it in our hand along with a Flash Drive and went to pay for it. A nice girl had been helping us find what we wanted. The guy at the check out desk started trying to sell us more stuff. We kept saying all we want are these two items. At one point Bob said "I'm this close to just leaving the store without buying this laptop if you keep talking" The guy was like an Energizer Bunny and was unable to stop his "car salesman" approach to selling us what we didn't want. Finally, Bob said..that's it..grabbed his credit card and prepared to leave. He turned to another salesman and said "who's your manager?" The man said.."that guy you just argued with is the manager". We couldn't believe it. The Energizer Bunny was willing to let $600.00 go out the door. So, it did. We left without any purchase. It's too bad for us as the laptop was a sweet deal..but that guy tossed too much vinegar into the mix turning it sour. Unbelievable.

A couple days later I drove down to Albany and bought the laptop. When they started to expound like that other guy, I gave them a look combined with "been there done that" speech.
I'm enjoying our new laptop very much!!!

"Daddddyyyyy"

Well..I had a busy exhaustive day yesterday. I babysat two little great grandkids ages one and three. I could have chosen to sit and watch their play...but I entered in. I got down and dirty. Yes, I was exhausted afterwards..and sore, too. My fibromyalgia was howling, but you know what? I was fixing in their minds a memory. Great Grandma playing with them and making them laugh. Someday they may talk about it..and it'll be a good memory. Hopefully, Maddi will NOT remember being very angry with me and going into the laundry room at her house and crying against the door to the garage..yelling "dadddddyyyy". They do tend to remember the fun parts thank the Lord.

Here's a couple pictures. The one most precious is Maddi at her bedroom window watching and waiting for me. Her daddy said she began her vigil 30 minutes before I was to arrive. Awwww! Makes my heart smile!

two wolves

Read this recently and liked it...

Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

If we feed on God's word, it nurtures the Good!!! Have a great day!!!
